Foyer wall decor

A big hello to all my friends and readers. In this blog I am going to share my foyer wall decor with you all.
Foyer means the entrance hall or area of a flat or house. When someone comes to our home foyer is the first area which comes to their notice. Foyer is the first place of our home from where we can make a style statement for our home and makes our home different from the next house.
I feel whatever the first impression anyone carries of your home,Make it lasts forever in their mind so why not give a beautiful memory of your home starting from the entrance only.
There are so many different ways to add charm and beauty to your entrance. We can decorate the foyer with some of our favorite collectibles or paintings or  your family photos etc etc. The list is long enough... But always try to give a personal touch to your home because your home always gives a reflection of your personality.....
I decorated my foyer wall with some of my Handpainted canvases.... This way i can give a personal touch to my entrance.
In addition to the Handpainted canvases I put a cat sculpture made up of rope and clay. I hang few lamps from the ceiling in a accending order of length... These lamps add a lot of drama to my foyer wall decor and take the decor to a next level.
I used to change my home decor frequently that doesn't mean that I always bought new new things every time. I am just changing their places or add something new with old ones so this way I try to give a fresh look to my home every time. But for now this is my foyer wall decor....
I hope you like my decor style...

My new Warli painting... Tree of happiness

Once again a warm welcome to my blog... Today I am going to take special note on my new painting which is basically a warli painting...
From childhood only I am very much fascinated towards all types Indian art form like warli, madhubani, kalamkari, gond, pattachitra etc etc and I hope to try my hands on each one day but for now I tried warli painting...
Warli painting  is a style of tribal art mostly created by the Adivasis from the North sahyadri range in India. Warli art is mostly centered around mother nature and all forms of nature elements are mostly depicted in warli painting.
I named my painting as tree of happiness
because it's the tree only around which happiness is in the air. Everyone is singing, swinging, dancing, dancing, laughing and enjoying life which we mostly lost in our busy life schedules now a days. So in this painting I try to pay attention to most beautiful asset of life i. e happiness....
For now this is time to hang the painting in one my beautiful corner of my home and enjoy the tree of happiness.

Hath pakha

Haath pakha....
Being a bong I am very much fond with the term  haath pakha. It's one of our traditional symbol. Whenever u visit any bong's house you will definitely find some hath pakha.... Now a days mostly in their store rooms.

Hath pakha is mainly a palm leaf hand  fan which is used mostly during summer time. It's not only confined to summer time .... It is also an important part of our each and every celebration from marriage to Annoprashan, from pujo to jamai sashti. It's an important part of our baron dala means arti thali.

From childhood only I am very much crazy about hath pakha and have lots of thakuma dida memories related to hath pakha. But it's very sad that now a days kids don't know about all these charms of life. Sometimes I feel very bad about our present robotic lifestyle. Leave this topic here only otherwise my hath pakha will become upset.
Now a days my craziness for hath pakha increased a number of times because it will help me to decorate my home with little bit traditional touch. Here I want to say one thing I love decorating and redecorating my home again and again and every time I feel happiness from within. Through out the year the decorating redecorating cycle is going on.
Coming back to the topic hath pakha. Getting an authentic hath pakha in Dubai is just next to impossible. I searched a couple of shops then one night I thought why not I vl make a hath pakha with cardboard.... Because I only need them for decoration.
Then I made this hath pakha, decorated with red  fabric to give a authentic touch as real hath pakha also have red, green or yellow coloured fabric frill border. Then painted a pair of fish.... I love fish.... Whether it is in curry or in paintings....and my hath pakha is ready. Now it's time to  hang it....
